Zhu Hongping, President of the Zhejiang Provincial Academy of Educational Sciences, shared Zhejiang's progress and achievements in digital education and reported on the province's exploration and practices regarding AI-empowered educational transformation and development at the parallel forum on "AI-Empowered Education Development and Evaluation" during the 2026 World Digital Education Conference. 

He noted that Zhejiang is actively building an AI general education system spanning all educational stages, striving to create a full-scenario application matrix where AI supports "teaching, learning, research, management, and evaluation." The province is systematically enhancing the AI literacy of all teachers and focusing on constructing a multi-level pilot matrix covering "reform and exploration, regional popularization, and scenario-based application." These efforts have effectively advanced the comprehensive deepening of pilot applications of the national smart education platform as well as various pilot initiatives under the national AI-empowered education action plan.

Moving forward, Zhejiang will continue to promote the development of AI-related curricula and teaching materials, strengthen its digital infrastructure and resource supply system, fully implement teacher AI literacy enhancement programs, and further advance AI-empowered educational transformation and development, contributing to the building of a fairer and higher-quality future education.
